We are looking for a Senior Software Architect to join our client on an exciting journey of growth! This will be a pivotal role who will help to define and enhance all aspects of development from the appropriate technology and workflow to coding standards for our Backup platform.

Responsibilities

Technical:

• Review and adjust requirements, specifications and other technical documents and provide timely and meaningful feedback;
• Transform user and non-functional requirements into a technical design that is scalable, reliable, performant and secure;
• Develop prototypes to evaluate the feasibility of technical solutions;
• Perform code and feature analysis reviews;

Leadership:

• Set technical direction for the product;
• Present ideas to technical and business audiences;
• Provide mentoring to engineers and assist less-experienced peers in prioritizing projects and tasks;

Collaboration:

• Evangelize the technical vision with the development team, product managers, and program managers;
• Regularly interact with other departments, leaders, vendors, partners and/or customers;
• Work with Program Managers to identify technical risks and unknowns early in the product release cycle;
• Provide feedback to assist the development of team members;

What can make you stand out:

• Relevant software engineering experience;
• Hands-on experience in designing cloud-native applications;
• Deep understanding of REST, SOA and Microservices and the challenges imposed by each of these architecture patterns;
• Demonstrated proficiency in multiple areas of programming (e.g., web development, concurrency, non-blocking I/O, algorithms, etc.);
• Hands-on experience with AWS and Kubernetes;
• Interest in exploring and utilizing new technologies;

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of Microsoft Azure;
• Familiarity with CI/CD best practices;
• Knowledge of Agile development methodologies.
