Senior Data Integration Engineer

We are currently looking for a Senior Data Integration Engineer for one of our clients, a key player in technology and data analytics for Commercial Real Estate industry. The Senior Data Integration Engineer will be part of Data Integration projects delivered as part of wider

Product Enablement engagements.

Key responsibilities

• Review Data Enablement requirements provided by teams such as Data Onboarding or by other Senior Data Integration Analysts to provide feedback and establish technical task decomposition & potential technical approaches;
• Contribute to Data Integration logic together with Data Integration Engineers using a mix of SQL (dbt) and Python;
• Debug and resolve issues appearing during the manual or automated execution of Data Ingestion workflows related to parsing raw data or Data Integration logic;
• Optimize existing Data Integration logic, identify and centralize tech debt together with the Lead Data Integration Engineer;
• Provide technical mentorship to junior Engineers and actively review development done to ensure it aligns to best practices, is well documented and tested and optimal;
• Assist the Lead Data Integration Engineer and other Architects in designing features related to Data Integration capability;
• Periodically own or manage smaller workstreams as part of a decentralized technical management model;

Technical skills

• Proficient in manipulating data using Python;
• Great expertise in handling semi-structured data formats like JSON and XML;
• Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts like landing & staging interfaces, idempotent operations, data contracts, interfacing producer and consumer etc.;
• Strong knowledge of using version control systems such as Git;
• Strong understanding of REST/SOAP APIs;
• Proven experience of working with Command Line Interfaces to interact with tooling such as git, dbt, python, pyenv, choco, brew or other;
• Proven knowledge of performing statistical analysis of tabular datasets using tooling like Python packages (scikit-learn, numpy etc.) or Spreadsheet software (Excel etc.);
• Proven knowledge of the process by which data intensive applications/systems are designed/architected;
• Represents a big plus experience with any of the following: dbt, Dataform or similar;
• Represents a plus experience with Data Warehouses or Data Lakes;
• Represents a plus experience with any of the following: Snowflake, Power BI Desktop, Power Query, PowerShell.
